Both offer fine dining restaurants, exceptionally appointed rooms, hot tubs and an aurora wake up service.

Your third night on this break will be spent at the aptly named Northern Light Inn - set amongst a great expanse of lavascape next to the Blue Lagoon. The perfect end to your Icelandic encounter!

Hotel Ranga

This ranch-style hotel sits in a prime location in South Iceland under vast, wide open skies that make it an ideal spot for viewing the northern lights. The hotel has a long held reputation for excellent northern lights sightings and the friendly staff are on hand to share their considerable knowledgeable with fellow 'aurora watchers'. And to really bring the night sky to life, a brand new roll-off roof observatory has been built at Hotel Ranga, the only hotel in Iceland to have such a facility, which is proving a very popular addition to its facilities.

Hotel Glymur

The remote and tranquil location makes Hotel Glymur another superb choice for aurora viewing. This boutique property is beautifully situated overlooking stunning Hvalfjordur in West Iceland and offers a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

Group sizes are usually around 15-25 people (maximum 29).
