About New Zealand

New Zealand is a country of spectacular landscapes, cosmopolitan cities, a unique collection of flora and fauna found nowhere else on earth and virtually unlimited adventure. Regularly voted the most beautiful country in the world, this South Pacific island nation is often described as a world in itself. Its two main islands span over 1000 miles and take in all climates from the sub-tropical temperate north to the sub-Antarctic alpine south.

From whale watching in Kaikoura to heli-hiking Fox Glacier, enjoying an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound or and hiking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing , New Zealand was seemingly purpose-built for outdoor adventure offering a plethora of experiences and always in stunning surrounds.

Although well-known for adventurous pursuits such as white-water rafting, heli-skiing and jet boating, this wonderful country is also a great place to for less adrenaline-fuelled activities - explore on foot on one the ‘9 Great Walks’ , or perhaps get on your bike and cycle round the country’s famous vineyards. Whatever your interests we can create an itinerary that has the perfect balance of travel, activities and sights.

Maori Culture

When the Maori first set eyes on the islands about 1000 years ago they called them Aotearoa – ‘the land of the long white cloud’. Maori culture and legends are still revered and visitors can join in traditional events, listen to song and dance and learn about the history through innovative attractions such as Te Papa, the national museum.
